About the Founder, Ron Bourgault
Mr. Bourgault was first introduced to electricity as an electrician’s helper for his father when he was in his early teens. Little did he know then his life would be dedicated to the electrical industry taking him to the corners of the world. He worked his way through college as a residential and commercial electrician, receiving his electrical engineering degree from California State University Fresno in 1985.
The first 5 years of his career was spent in the oil fields of Alaska, offshore California and western Colorado where he designed electrical systems and managed construction projects. He was assigned to Alaska barely 6 months after college graduation where he lived in a trailer in an isolated area only accessible with a bush plane. At this point he knew keeping him in an office for long periods of time would be difficult.
In1990 he joined a firm in Denver, Colorado where he built and managed a very successful electrical department, eventually becoming one of the 3 partners of the firm. During these years he was blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer with Habit for Humanity and travel with many church organizations to many Central American countries, New Zealand, Peru and South Africa.
In2010 his two partners retried sending Ron on a new adventure. For ten years he was the chief electrical engineer for a San Francisco based engineering company where he led international electrical projects and co-managed their Denver office. His work has taken him to Haiti many times and to several Eastern and Western African countries.
In2020 he stepped away from fulltime employment and started Borderless Engineers, Ltd, known as BEI Consulting. He is excited to apply his vast range of electrical experience wherever the road takes him.
Mr. Bourgault is a licensed professional engineer in many western states, a licensed master electrician, a certified commissioning professional, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Ron has a beautiful wife and 3 amazing adult children and 3 energetic grandchildren.
